Yes, there are bundles of exercises that we can do in our quarantine without using any gym equipment. So, stop making excuses for yourself just because you can’t go to the gym. Start doing exercises that are possible at home and stay fit at your home.

Jump rope

Yes, jump rope may sound girlish and may take back to your school days. But trust me, this jump rope can make your heart pumping just doing it for a minute or two. This jump rope is a fine replacement for your cardio workout. If you do not have a jump rope, you can take any rope. The jump rope can definitely help you to stay fit and is easy to do indoors. Plank is a great exercise for strengthening your core muscles. It’s good and challenging too. So in this exercise, you need to take the push-up position, and then instead of bending your arms and moving down towards the floor, you need to hold that position with your arms extended. Start holding it for 30 seconds and then keep on adding 10 seconds every day. See how long you can hold this position. To make it a fun challenge, your family members and friends do this plank and see who holds this position for a long time.


Stair-stepping is also a good exercise to keep your body active and healthy. If you don’t have any stairs at your home, you can take a sturdy chair or your biggest and thickest book. Keep it in front of you and step up and down. This will keep you active, and you will enjoy it also. You can turn on your tv or play some music while doing this exercise. It’s healthy and easy. Jumping Jack

This is also an easy-breezy exercise that you can perform easily. In this exercise, you need to jump with your legs spread wide and hands touching your head and then returning with the feet together and arms at the side. This exercise can also work as cardio when performed at a fast pace.

High knee

The high knee is a cardio exercise that is performed at a fast pace. It strengthens your leg muscles and gets your heart rate up. It also improves your momentum and flexibility of your body. Steps to do high-knee

  1. Take your standing position.
  2. Lift your right knee and raise your left hand and do it vice-versa (lift left knee and right hand)

Perform it at a fast pace. It’s a good cardio exercise which you can perform indoors.


A squat is an exercise in which you have to lower your hips from a standing position and then stand back. This exercise strengthens your legs and is also very easy to perform. Try this super easy exercise and stay fit.


Burpee is a full-body exercise. This exercise is performed in 4 steps and also known as four-count burpee. So these are the following steps:

  1. Take your standing position
  2. Move into a squat position with your hands touching the ground
  3. Take your feet back and take a plank position while keeping your arms extended
  4. Return your feet into a squat position
  5. Stand-up from the squat position.

Perform this exercise as quickly as you can. This exercise is also an aerobic movement. Burpees burn fat and help to build functional strength.


The lunge is one of the popular exercises performed during workouts and advised by many fitness trainers. In this exercise, you need to take your one leg forward with bent knee and foot flat on the ground. While the other leg is positioned back. You can hold this position for a while and can change the leg. This exercise is beneficial for building muscles or muscle groups. It also gives you the strength to your body. You can also increase the difficulty level of this exercise by holding some weight in your hands.
